School Dinners

School Lunches

Two options are available for children who wish to stay at school for lunch. Firstly cooked school meals are provided, which are cooked on site. Key Stage 1 children (Infants) are given options for both the main course and sweet, this is provided free of charge under the Governments Universal Free School Meal initiative.  In Key Stage 2 (Juniors) we operate a cafeteria system where children choose their own meals and payment can be made via ParentPay or by putting a named envelope in the Post Box by the School Office.  A meal costs £2.10 per day. Facilities are also provided for those who wish to bring a packed lunch. At lunch time the children are supervised by welfare staff who are responsible to the Headteacher. Whenever possible the Headteacher is also on duty at dinnertime. Also, the majority of teaching staff are on site at dinnertimes should any problems arise.

Playtimes
Children may bring healthy snacks to school to be consumed during breaks. We like to encourage healthy eating at these times.  Fresh fruit is free and available to all infant children during playtime.

Water
The children are allowed to bring bottled water into school to be consumed during lesson times.

Milk
Milk is available, if required, currently at a cost of £1.50 per week.

Class funds for KS1 (Infants)
Class funds are to provide water bottles for the children. These monies are used to buy extra materials to enhance the curriculum, to subsidise both school trips and educational visits to school.

Reception

Funds are £1 per week which covers the purchase of a healthy daily snack.
