Our next and final school council meeting of the year will be on Wednesday 11th July 2018, 3.30pm-4.15pm
OUR SCHOOL COUNCIL
The purpose of our School Council is to encourage pupils to get involved in issues that concern them in and around school.
Since our school is so big, listening to the views of everyone is easier said than done.
However, with the School Council, many voices can be heard. We focus on listening to the views of pupils and strive to improve some aspects of school life
Our School Council meet fortnightly, on a Wednesday evening with Mrs Horsley. Our link governor Mrs Chapell attends some meetings. The Councillors discuss issues with their classes and bring concerns and suggestions back to the council.
The School Council- Our aims.
The overall aim of the School Council is to give the children of Garrett Hall a greater voice in what happens in school.
- To make sure that our school is a safe and happy place for children.
- To make sure that children have a place to voice their concerns.
- To encourage all children in school to suggest improvements.
- To make sure any suggestions or concerns are listened to and acted upon.
