Home School Agreement

We are committed to developing a good relationship between school and home. We believe this agreement will help to promote such a relationship.
This agreement formally recognises our responsibilities and consistent with the schools
Prospectus, discipline Policy and Homework Policy.
We would like to work as a partnership. You, your child and the staff will be asked to sign this agreement, but the absence of a signed agreement does not exempt any pupil from complying with the school rules.

The school will:
1. Encourage children to do their best at all times;
2. Provide a broad and balanced curriculum in order to meet your child’s individual needs;
3. Operate a code of good behaviour and discipline to ensure a safe, caring environment;
4. Regularly communicate with the family on all aspects of your child’s welfare and education;
5. Set homework in line with the school’s homework policy;
6. Provide a listening ear for children and their families;
7. Regularly communicate news about the school with parents via letters or newsletters.

The family will:
1. Ensure our child attends regularly, punctually, properly dressed and equipped;
2.  Provide a written explanation if our child has been absent;
3. Support the school’s code of good behaviour and discipline;
4. Inform the school of any concerns about health, education, behaviour and general welfare;
5. Support the school’s homework policy;
6. Share in our child’s school life, through Parent’s Evenings. Open Afternoons, Special Assemblies and supporting school reward systems.

The child will:
1.  Complete all classwork and homework to the best of my ability;
2. Keep the school rules;
3. Show respect to all persons and all property;
4. Take care of my belongings and the equipment I use each day;
5. Wear the correct uniform;
6. Take school letters or newsletters straight home and give them to my family.
