15th & 25th April - Year 3 visit to Northwood Farm

Our children in both Year 3 classes enjoyed their visit to Northwood Farm to start off the new term. They have been learning all about farming and the important role farming plays on all aspects of our lives.  

18th April - Golf taster session

Well done to our Year 5/6 children as they took part in the ATSA golf taster session at the Boomers and Swingers driving range today. It look like you had a fantastic time. 

17th May - John Muir Award

John Muir Award

Our Year 5 children began a series of field trips today to start their work on the John Muir Award.  They began exploring wild places around our local area as part of this study. The John Muir Award is an environmental award scheme focused on wild places. It supports people to connect with, enjoy and care for nature, landscape, and the natural environment. The children thoroughly enjoyed their first field trip.

21st May - Year 6 trip to the mining museum

Northern Heritage - Astley Green Colliery - The Urban Wanderer

Our Year Six children enjoyed a visit to Astley Green Colliery Museum today. They learnt all about life down the pits to complement their work on the Victorians and saw the original pit headgear in action.

May - Nursery chicks!

St Edmund's Catholic Primary School - Hatching Chicks!

It has been lovely to have the chicks in our Nursery classrooms again this year. The children have loved seeing them hatch and grow over the last few weeks. 

17th April - Football team visit to

Everton FC

 

Well done to the Year 3 football team who played in a tournament at Everton FC today. They scored 19 goals and finished runners up! Well done everyone!

2nd May - Music showcase!

What's That Song? - Online Music - Library Guides at UW-La Crosse -

It was fabulous to listen to some of our Key Stage 2 children perform in a musical showcase this afternoon. Year groups across school were invited to hear children sing, play musical instruments and perform aspects of the music curriculum that they have been learning. Well done everyone. 

13th May - ATSA football tournament

Well done to our girls football team this afternoon as they won the ATSA girls cup tonight. They scored eight goals and won a penalty shoot out to take away the cup. Well done girls!

Week beginning 13th May - Year 6 SATs

A massive well done to all of our children in Year 6, who have worked their socks off this week during their SATs tests. We couldn't be any prouder of how they have conducted themselves. 

20th May - Year 3 & Year 4 Sports Day

Sports Day | Corpus Christi Catholic School

It was lovely to see the weather stay dry for our lower key stage two sports day today. Well done to all of the children who took part and thank you to all of the adults who attended for your support. 

26th April - Year 4 Futsal

Well done to the Year 4 Futsal team who played brilliantly in their tournament this afternoon. Scoring seven goals and only conceding two against the eventual winners. The children all represented our school superbly.

14th May - HH Kids parental workshop

It was lovely to welcome HH Kids into school today to talk to our Year 6 parents and carers about their upcoming SRE curriculum. 

17th May - Farm visit to school

Our children in Reception enjoyed a visit from a travelling farm today in school. They had the opportunity to feed lambs and calves as well as learning about different farm animals as part of their topic work. 

May Half Term holiday club

It was lovely to see Mr Parr and some of our children attending the ATSA tennis club over the half term holidays.
