Governors
At Garrett Hall we are very lucky to have a dedicated team of governors. Our governors play a vital role in ensuring that our school provides the very best possible education for all of our children. Our governors are responsible for providing a strategic view, ensuring accountability and act as a crucial friend to the school. Our governors hold regular meetings, at least one per term.
How are our governors selected?
Parent governors are elected by the parents/carers and the term of office is four years. When a position becomes vacant nominations will be asked for and an election involving all registered parents and guardians will take place.
Community governors are appointed by the Governing Body and their term of office is four years.
LEA governors are appointed by the Local Education Authority and their term of office is four years
Staff governors are elected by the staff for four years from the date of appointment.

Remit: To ensure there is a process in place for the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning that has regard to raising standards. Also to review and approve the levels of financial delegation for inclusion in the Scheme of Financial Administration. To provide guidance and assistance to the headteacher. |
Remit: The Pay Committee will have delegated powers to consider and decide all matters concerning pay with the Pay Policy determined by the Governing Body.
